ShaolinXIV released Xenogears The Final Chapter for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. Written by Nobuo Uematsu and produced by Akihiro Suzuki and Yoshinori Kitase, the game was released in 2006 and later ported to many other platforms as a remastered version. The game uses the engine and high definition visual style of Xenogears and its sequels. Unlike the original version of the game, it does not have multiple endings, nor a musical score - instead, the soundtrack was replaced with new arrangements by Kenji Ito (of the music group UNISON SQUARE).

In 2004, Ubisoft released a remastered version of Double Dragon IV for Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2 and Xbox as Double Dragon IV Generations. The game is based on the Double Dragon III: The Rosetta Stone HD remake, adding numerous new features and removing the bugs of the original game. It features three new characters and new elemental moves. A 3D re-translation of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link was released as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - A Double Feature Edition.

In 2005, Gainax released Gunparade March for Nintendo GameCube, Xbox and PlayStation 2. The game is based on the anime series of the same title, though it lacks the characters of the show. It follows the same story as the original Aquarion Evol, however the game has a new plot, new characters and a new ending.
